Here are some really simple changes you can make in your life straight away to bolster your time keeping and become more punctual:

  • Set the time on your morning alarm clock 10 minutes early. You awake to a deadline; your mind thinks you are late, but in reality you have a bit of spare time.
  • Give Yourself Rewards. Give yourself rewards for punctual time keeping. Perhaps as small as a cup of tea, or something bigger like a new dress or tie for bigger successes.
  • Set the time on your watch 5 minutes early. Just like the first point this will help you if you are always late for appointments and meetings.
  • Where are you wasting time? Do you spend time you don’t have surfing the net? Reading emails? Perhaps making telephone calls which arn’t required? Whatever you waste your time doing figure it out and cut it out and spend your time on activities which are critical.
  • Outsource. Outsource wherever possible tasks which you are not good at. You should always be doing tasks which you are a specialist at, spend your time wisely doing what you are good at whenver possible
  • Keep to a Routine. When you do some tasks at the same each and every day they become normal. You will become better at these routine tasks as you practice them every day.
